Default 50NL: line for TT, 3bet pot

Villain is 19/19/4. No reads.

How do you play this?
If you decide to bet, what do you do against c/r? safe fold?

That's not a board I expect to get c/r on a lot. Checking and betting are both good plays with a lot of merit behind them; I prefer a bet in this spot but I'm sure someone will advocate a check.

Seems like the best flop you could count on...

The problem with betting I see is you will rarely get action from hands you beat. I think he would have cbetted with 88/99, and draws. Either he might be going to check-raise with a draw, or overpair obv, or just AK/AQ with backdoor flush.

I think this guy is just not check-calling with worse in that spot (check-folding sometimes, check-raising more often). So, I'm basically hoping to see SD as cheap as possible, and expect it won't be easy.

Check and pray

Were you setmining preflop? I think the flop is a bet/call.

You're smoked if he check/raises imo.

To be fair, some players check raises with AK in these spots. If you check it's for deleveraging to get value from AK that might stab turn to "protect" or to stab and get called once by those hands. If you bet, it's for protection, and as said, a check raise would be very strong, but I still believe that bet/folding the flop can be quite exploitable.

well, I wouldn't mind to flop a set.
I was certanly kind of. But I also believe that TT is not a hand that we should setmine only. Exactly for this type of flop, I believe it is a good hand to get value from.
The tricky thing is just, that we're never comitted here (so we are afraid of a c/r) and we wanna see a showdown (but there we will often see an overcard on turn or river).

@nostalgica: Yes. I would hate to lay it down against something like a AK c/r! this is definitly in his range. But I'm not sure if a 19/19/4 is capable of that...
I should probably see his flop AF and c/r freq.

this is actually how it ends up:

I think if you are betting the flop then you should call check-raise, and basically you are ahead of overcards only, and they have reasonable equity.

I like you play

I think his check on the flop indicates that he has two overcards, something like AK, maybe even AQ. I would bet in that spot being in position.

If he had an overpair to that flop I think he would have bet already, instead of just checking the flop. Without any further reads I'm not sure if he would beat a draw in that spot, so the Qc is a very bad card.

I dont get bet/call...

This is 50NL and in my experience only the most laggy tards are capable of check/shoving this flop with worse.

If we bet its more for protection against overs than anything else. Personally I like checking back and evaluating turn (most likely calling a bet to fold to a big bet on river but betting if he checks again)
