Hi!


My friend was looking my game on nl2 and he told me im predictable at the tables . I use the TAG strategy and a bluff very few but i cbet a lot on good flops, and i limp very few. He is not a professional player just a gambler but anyway he mixed up the things in me. I should do more bluffs or tricks? I learned and of course is an experience too these bluffs works rare on my limit. I have seen many times trikkur's from a loosing player to a winning player and i do that soo. Just get away from the marginal situations. Should i mix up my play with something or just keep marching?

Seriously, you don't need to mix up ANYTHING at 2NL.
Play IP, Play Straightforward. Have a good Pre-Flop play and get value for your good hands. b/b/b

Lol, PLZ(!) do not mix up your play, balance/merge your range at the micros (maybe at 50NL?)! Just play a solid lvl 0 or 1 game.
Ppl have to play quite a lot with you before they can figure you out - in case they are able to make some kind of read (and many, many ppl can't do that).
And even if they know, that you play tight - it's WAY harder to exploit a tight player than a loose one.

No need to mix up play at 2nl. Just valuebet, valuebet, and cbet. No bluffing, no fancy plays.

But what he said IS essentially correct. You, and the majority of players are in fact predictable. The issue is sorting out priorities. Right now, being unpredictable is the least of your worries.

I disagree. It is vital to one's poker success at any limit to mix up their game to avoid being easily readable.

Well it's important, but I think there are some fundamental flaws that is a bit important, like not spewing preflop or never folding pairs against big bets and chasing very weak draws without odds, etc.

Part of this is because at very low stakes (well, 2NL) it's easy to be unpredictable, mostly as a result of your opponent not trying to read you at all. You're going to be "unpredictable" without trying very often, so there isn't much point in worrying about it before slightly more pressing and fundamental things, concepts like relative value, ranges, position, and implied odds.
