Default NL25 (rush): AQ as PFR OOP - barreling

Another hand, excuse me but I admit I still suck at barreling and bluffing... plz help

I beleive this hand required more pressure, I see at least 3 ways I could take but I just gave up.

1. barrel turn?
2. check-raise turn?
3. as played, put a healthy river bet?
4. other

Thx

I'd bet river a little over half-pot but other than that I think you played fine. Turn bet is very marginal at best.

Turn is an overcard which gives you gutshot in addition to your overcards, so I wouldn't hate making a $4.5 (or sth) barrell there. If we assume that we have about 20% of equity** against his calling range, we don't really need him to fold too often to make our barrel +EV, as always I'm too lazy to do the math, but if we bet $4.5 we'll probably need him to fold like 40% of the time to make it +ev.

His flop peeling range is mostly PPs, Tx and FDs, and you're most likely to getting pocket pairs to fold when you bet the turn.

River is a bit connected to his turn peeling range (Tx hands) but you should get him to fold one pair hands (worse than something like JdQd) of his range if you 3barrell like 2/3 pot on the river, maybe $10 (to $14.65)... But I'd probably just give up on the river if he calls the turn.

As played, after we checked the turn, we're not really getting Tx to fold (at least it's very unlikely), so if you do want to make a bluff attempt, you should bet small like urban said. Something like 60% of the pot.

** = (usually like 3 live overcard outs + gutshot... and he could have draw that we beat in showdown)

I bet the turn against an unknown. As played, a river bet is ok but I don't think it will show a huge profit.

I'd bet a non club or diamond turn, but without one of those suits double-barreling seems too thin for my taste, being out of prostitution and all.

OOP is 1 of the big reasons to bet. IP I'm happy to check this turn back.
