Obviously, the only question on the turn was how to get all the money in, though there were quite a few hands that beat me. I thought he will fold too many worse hands/bluffs if I 3bet-shove the turn, so I called to think about it on the river. Once I hit my boat, I decided there is more value in betting than checking to let him bluff, but I am disappointed that he folded... Do you see any better options (turn&river)? Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com saw flop CO ($53.48) Button ($9.15) Hero (SB) ($25) BB ($21.78) UTG ($115.45) MP ($44.24) Preflop: Hero is SB with Q , J![]() 4 folds, Hero bets $1, BB calls $0.75 Flop: ($2) 8 , 4 , Q (2 players)Hero bets $1.45, BB calls $1.45 Turn: ($4.90) Q (2 players)Hero bets $3.50, BB raises to $7, Hero calls $3.50 River: ($18.90) J (2 players)Hero bets $15.55 (All-In), 1 fold Total pot: $18.90 | Rake: $0.94 |

this is played straight forward - I like that in general. But I think, that we have better options here: the thing is, that we play BvB here (and in rush games, BvB seems crazy aggro to me). when villain is minraising turn, I put him on pure air or a medium FD. Honestly, I'm not giving him any credit for something else. I would say FD and air together comes at at least to 90% of his range... Therefore, I see 2 more options... 1) click it back to him on turn...and hope he feels comitted with his FD. he probably folds air. 2) call turn and check river...and hope he bluffs again with air or with missed FD. By calling turn and betting river, when FD didn't hit...we really force him to fold ANYTHING beside a Q. and there is only one Q left...

Your river line is inconsistent with your turn line. You just called the turn because you thought that you are either behind or villain is bluffing and thus you don't want him to fold his bluffs which is a very good logic. So then why would you ever not check the river once you boat up? He's gonna valuebet all hands that had you beat on the turn and if he was bluffing, you give him another chance to bluff. Betting something really small would make sense too since he might randomly have 8x and pay you off + he might still bluff shove over the top. Clicking back on the turn also seems reasonable. But shoving makes the least sense of all the options. |

I think you gotta reraise the turn a small amount 2-3 bux Then on river lead out with a small bet something he could call say 3 bux. If hes got a pocket pair he might call. If he was bluffing the turn which he probably is since 2 q's on the board then he wouldnt call any other bet except maybe a turn reraise, but more than likely a fold. |
