Default NL50: TT in a 4bet pot

Another aggrotard, he just posted, and I could not give him credit for hitting a big hand right away.
4betting seems more appropriate for me cause my hand is very likely the best but it will be hard to say so on many flops.
Do you think 4bet-shoving is better?

Then, I was not happy the flop is A-high cause I think there are many Ax in his range... I was going to check-fold the flop.

He checked behind, and I was not sure how to interpret this: no ace, or he traps? I have a feeling I missed good spot to bet the turn (about 1/3 PSB), right? Any other recommendations?

I like your line so far, though 4bet shoving would've been fine too. River bricks I think a block/fold would be fine vs a player who probably has some SDV but not nec an ace. Also doubt he'll bluff on the river as opposed to earlier streets, so a small bet/fold is, imo, good.

Check/folding A flop is good because it's hard to play c/c, and bet and getting called, but in terms of whether you are good now, I think you're underestimating how wide he can be, as he can def have 100% of weaker pairs here, as well as some random junk or broadway, if he's a terrible player, so you might not nec. be beat. On the river, you're going to win the pot some percentage, though villain MAY indeed be trapping. I think a small b/f is my preference.

Just shove pre, what's the point of 4betting to an amount that clearly commits you in a spot where you're unbalanced (and you don't need to be balanced!) with a hand that doesn't neccessarily want too much action. Now you're in an awkward spot oop with a potsized bet left behind looking at an ugly flop.

Postflop looks fine so far. Could bet the turn for protection/value from draws though he should be betting those himself usually.
As played: Valuebet pretty much any non-J/Q/K river.

I like it PF.
I also like c/f flop.
once he checks back flop. I shove turn.

That guys has PSB left! would you really fold to a half pot bet on turn (when we check and he bets)??
And let's assume you bet turn for 12. do you fold to a raise? Never ever!

just ship it on turn.

As played I shove every river T or lower and check any J;Q;K;A.

cheers

@tmiby:

I'm not sure if I like shoving the turn more than blockbet-folding. Why can't I fold after betting, in case I'm almost sure I'm beat? If I'm beat by the turn I don't see what better hands can I fold out, but I can save some extra$ by not sticking in, as well as more likely getting value from worse hands.

As to when it is better to bet - the turn or low river - I'm kinda not sure, seems both spots have their own advantages. Maybe it's because of I let him catch that J this time, I like betting the turn more...

I think that most "shorties" play a made hand straight forward. I expect him to bet an ace on the flop.
Therefore I don't see many hands that are better. If he has a 9, well, he got lucky! I wouldn't care about a 9 on the turn.

If we shove, I still see a shorty calling with 8x, 2 clubs, JT...maybe even KQ (rarely).

It's just a dangerous boards for his hand range. I see him there a lot with Kx, Qx, Jx hands. and of course low pairs.

Giving a free card could give us a hard river decision. If we go for a c/c line...I just think he checks back air and bets any pair like J, Q, K or rivered sets.

Do you know what I mean?

I think either way is not a big leak/mistake.
When I post a hand, I'm happy about every comment. When the comments are different - even better! At the end, you need to find the way that's working for YOU! a way that fits YOUR playing style!

I usually see that my thinkings and my lines are a little more on the aggressiv (and maybe swingy) side. I'm playing something like 22/16/2.5....
