Question Bet sizing w AK here too avoid this river situation

Obv stupid river call here. But mistake with bet sizing where this could be avoided?

Looks like there is about $7 in the pot after the flop. I think I get villain to commit his stack on the turn by betting $6. That also makes your future decisions very easy.

yea id bet $5.50 on the turn into that pot size. Really annoying those situations when the river makes a 1 card flush, have made a few similar calls. but you soon learn from these mistakes!

I would make the raise on the flop a little bigger, a minraise just give him odds to call you. I would make it around 4 or something.
