How about a check on the turn? If he bet we could raise or shove and if he chks we get a free card to the nutz? As played I think I b/f 1/2 pot or even less to get a call from 89 or 78. Its so drawy a chk could induce a bluff from missed draw but I dont think he bluffs that often with his af but he also chks behind all hands that would call a bet. |

I think this spot is tricky because the pot is so bloated due to your flop and turn bet sizing. Why did you bet full pot? I would bet 3.25 - 3.50 on the flop and (as played on the flop) 9 on the turn. With my line I'd be looking to c/c smallish bets on the river. As played, it's hard for villain to bet without shoving. Maybe block bet and fold to a shove?

Honestly, I don't remember the hand as it was a while ago. My gut thinking from looking at this now is that I flopped a big draw that I'm not afraid to get a big pot going and I'm fine with taking it down on the flop. Turn, kinda same thinking except now I have an actual made hand but vulnerable. River????Who the heck knows
