Default "Semi Bluff" 5 8s 50NL

I felt like the villain here had a weak hand, so i tried to make a move at him, get him to fold a 6 or 9 maybe, should i have made my move at the turn? He timed out the river before making a crying call here...

Your thoughts?

I guess if you were making a move, you should've bet the turn also, so that he can't call the huge riverbet you're gonna have to make...imo

He minraised you preflop and you call /w 85s... I think I would fold to his minraise, even if the odds are wonderful. You are oop /w a bad hand against a hand, that is willing to play and has the initiative!

An A flops and he bets less than half pot, so he seems weak. So if you want to make a move, raise him here and make it 8-9$ and fire 16-18$ on the turn again. I c/c without improvement on the river or move in, if I hit 2pair or trips.

You are not making a semi bluff here on the river, you're making a pure bluff here A semi-bluff would be a turn bet, cause you still could improve and get value from your 2pair or trips, if you hit.
I really don't like betting the river here, cause he could call you down pretty light, cause your line looks weak and you can not threat with a bigger raise on the next street

Why do i hardly ever see the final results on posts like this?

Did you chose not to post the showdown? I honestly hate this play all around but i'm a nit

Thats why i wrote "semi bluff" since i wasnt quite sure wheter it was semi or pure

Well as i sad he timed down, and called with Jacks, but i really did feel like he did not like his hand and i realize checking the turn just pretty much gave him the impression i could not hold the ace, but that queen on the river just seemed to good to turn down

The reason why you dont see the final results is because most people here post converted HH. The converted hands leave out the result, but i can tell you that in this situation the villain held Jacks.

The problem with this line is that you're not repping anything. This is usually not a huge concern at 50NL, but even a complete idiot knows that there are no big hands that you play like this.
