You could bet like $4 or something and fold to a raise as his bets def look scared, but I think checking is ok

Just check behind. Acrai bluff is unlikely, but we won't get called by so many worse hands. Ac, Kc maybe crai, Qc,9c,8c might call and all lower c should fold, if he has no station-potential. So there is not much you really get value from.
