Im pretty sure no one has a king once they have both checked unless they were trying to slowplay, then villain insta calls my bet. So i check the turn looking to call a small sized bet on river. How should I have approached this, bet more on flop and bet turn aswell or as played fold river? I think I check the flop with 2 Ks there but that might be wrong. If he chks the turn as well then bet and if he bets the turn then call once and fold to a river bet. As played he prob has a K as donks love to slowplay but I think the call is ok as when the turn is chkd thru u look weak so induces bluffs...

Every pp calls you here on the flop and turn most of the time and sometimes on the river, too, so I go for 3 streets of value /w QQ on that board. But your line is ok as well, cause you will get bluffed on the river very often. If he shows a K or a set of 3s here... well, just bad luck. |

I will usually bet/bet/bet these boards until the villain gives me a good reason not to. This is actually a pretty damn good flop for QQ because it's less likely that somebody hit the overcard since it's paired, and because lower pocket pairs will often give you action for three streets. Still, just because people checked to you doesn't mean they don't have a king. Most people will check here with Kx unless they are the PF raiser. That said, I think your line is not really a terrible one. It definitely saves you money when they're slow playing Kx, and if they check the river you could actually bet again to extract a bit more value from lower pocket pairs. |
