Villain has been playing 80/20/3 over 80 hands. Hasn't folded his blinds yet to a raise, he's been constantly calling and floating, i've picked off 2 or 3 of his bluffs in small pots. Was wondering if there was any better ways to play these, looking back there's certainly a few spots where I could have bet more. Anyone call any of his river bets? In both these hands it seems that the worst possible card comes on the river in each case. Against a guy that floats a lot I'd be betting the turn in the first hand. It's actually a pretty good card for you to double barrel. I guess I'd play it the same as you did if I checked though. Second hand I do like a bit larger turn bet... More like $1.30-$1.50. That's more than enough to make it incorrect for him to call with a draw. River was a terrible card, you have to fold to his lead. Just to be clear though... If I know that he loves to bluff and I had some idea of how he sizes his bets I could very well call both. With the information given it's just not enough for me to call either one. |

I like your line in the first hand, cause if he is so aggressive... let him hang himself. I call the river though, cause he will do that as pure bluff and 55-99 often enough to be +++EV 2cond hand: I overbet the flop against him and maybe shove the turn on a blank. These guys know nothing about pot odds and think, that their draws are imba. So make it 2.5$ on the flop... he will call you with any 8 most of the time -> the pot on the turn is 5.7$ and he has about 7$ left, so just shove. He will call you with any 9, flushdraw or maybe any 8. |
