I think this is a shove. AJ is for sure a shove and I'm pretty sure AT is good enough

Whats the payout structure like for these things? I'm too lazy to check at the moment... I'm sure that has to weigh into your decision some.

I think it's a pretty marginal shove without knowing anything about the villains other than their stack sizes. So I would just use gameflow, history, and reads to tip the scale one way or the other.

I'm not too sure about 5 handed, but at least in HU "if you're not sure, just shove is" works good with shortstacks.

I would shove.

One of the theories Phil Gordon talks about is that if you have A-X in an unopened pot and the value of your kicker is greater than the number of players left to act behind you, you can profitably shove. I've never heard him discuss from UTG though, but I would think this short you would be ok.

Plus, you are about to go through the blinds too so if you shove and take down blinds/antes you increase your stack by about 20%, if you fold then make your trip through the blinds, where you presumably won't get a better hand, you lose another ~15-20% of your chips.

Without knowing a lot about the players...I would shove.

Am I the only one who would almost fist-pump shove ? I'm guessing this hand cost mx the tournament but looks like a very easy shove 5handed. in fact at 5M~ you should shove this UTG 9 handed imo

+1 I've played a lot of these 180s and sweated my friend through more, and the cutoff here for shoving is usually AJ+. If you have been shoving often, however, and feel you'll get looked light, I'd g ahead and do it. The opposite holds true as well. If you have enough fold equity, shove.

The payout structure isn't too steep and you still do have some chips left to wait until you're in LP or get a good hand in the blinds, so FME this depends on the players at the tables.
