I feel your pain but this is the type of results orientated thinking you need to get out of your head.

I'm not sure that's the way the random number generator at Stars actually works.

Yeah, i shouldnt think about results? I'm pretty sure that's why anyone plays... we play to win just like any other game... not being results/winning minded is like expecting to lose..

You shouldn't think that just because in some situations, a bad play will lead to the same result as a good play, it doesn't matter whether you make a good play or a bad play.

Your in between nl10 and nl25. ThatDeviant is right. Your not playing to win right now, your playing to improve. You have to learn to lose before you can step up.

Coolers happen to everyone, that's variance. Stay mentally strong and don't let it get to you. Ask yourself questions after the more iffy hands, and be honest: Did he represent what he showed? was shoving the best option? was calling the best option? what street could have been improved upon? did I maximize value?

Even winning hands are often played wrong. You have the determination, no doubt you'll be a reg at nl25 in no time.

You're thinking about it backwards.

You should be striving to make the correct decision at each street. On the turn you should have raised and given him the chance to get his money in behind. You shouldn't be playing to 'win monies!' because that comes as a package deal with making long term +ev decisions.

Yes, you would have lost the hand either way, but thats highly irrelevent to the correct decision on the turn.
