Damn, can't convert Party HH =( I've had two hilarious hands at 25NL yesterday and another one a few days ago when I open overshove. All of these averaged at full buyins. Hand 1. I've got KK in the blinds, I 3bet and get 2 callers. The flop is low but drawy, so I decide to open overshove twice the pot for the kicks, hoping someone thinks I'm on a draw. One guy folds but the other calls and flips over... AQ unimproved! He had nothing but two overs! I mean I'd understand with JJ or TT or 99 but AQ?! And his stats were actually like 20/12!! People are crazy... Hand 2. I'm in the big blind with 64o, a completely crazy player limps somewhere and we're HU to the flop. We check it down to the river, I had turned the nuts (straight) and SNAP open overshove Q river. He calls and flips over... KK!!! Says, "got greedy" XD People are crazy... Hand 3. JUST the previous hand I recieved a bit of a bad beat from a crazy shorty, IIRC we got it in on the turn and he 3-outered me. Now I wake up with AA in the blinds... And the guy limps in CO. When it's my turn to act, I SNAPshove, and he SNAPcalls and flips over AJ... People are crazy... Well okay, I happened to run into crazy people with monsters, good for me... ^_^ But I AM proud of my move in hand 3. I really felt he was the type of player that would put me on tilt and hope to feel like a genius calling my tiltshove with a so-so hand that happens to crush me, and I was right. Would've done the same with AK and QQ, possibly even JJ. Hand 1 dropped my jaw though, because the villain REALLY didn't seem crazy at all. I think he just went with a wrong read, I think if I had bet a standard amount, he would've given up on the turn... Overshoves are fun! |

In hand 1, I was expecting them to call with 88-JJ OR flush draw (I think I was blocking the FD as well) a good percentage of the time, I also have a history of massive flop overshoves with strong draws though I have no idea if they had seen any of that. But AQ?! He really must have put me on a bluff or flush draw with low cards to make that call, there's no way he would've shoved the flop or called and given action on the turn if I had bet a standard amount, I maximised my value against even this hand XD In hand 2, he was a drooler : D I really didn't think he had anything. But I thought, IF he had anything AT ALL, he could very well call an overshove XD I think it actually might have been the most profitable play against this guy, I mean really there was like 2,5 BB in the pot and it definitely wasn't profitable to bluff this guy at any point. I would not have been nearly as surprised if he had shown me like QTs that hit its pair on the river, or even ace high or mid pair or medium pocket pair. But KK?! Who the hell limps and checks down KK and then calls massive overshove on the river unimproved? XD Oh well probably it wasn't that great of a play but I just felt like doing it ^_^ You know the one where you start giggling like a schoolgirl because you know you are going to make a hilarious silly play and then it grows into a burst of hysterical laughter when your ridiculous move actually works out. Hand 3, I am 100% proud of my move, I really think I maximised my EV on that one. I wasn't surprised at all that he called. |
