Default Spewed off 10 buys

Over about 1,000 hands. Not today. A few days ago.

I didn't have a sip of alcohol. I wasn't tilting. I wasn't throwing things around the room. I wasn't even cursing. I had played 2 days before and made about 2 buys profit. I had my biggest bankroll yet from my "comeback" tour. I had grinded $200 to about $650 in about 4 months. My rakeback was coming, about 120 more. I felt... good. Comfortable.

I sat, and I immdediately started playing about a... 40/30 game.. I wanted to play loose and aggressive. REALLY loose and aggressive. I stuck it in with every 9+ outer I saw. I raised every suited connector in every position. If I felt like there was a chance I had the best hand, regardless of the bet, I raised and/or called. I wanted to just see what happened. I wanted to see how lucky I was. I wanted to see how good I was. I wanted to see how close I could come to the edge. How right my reads were.

I picked off a few bluffs with ace high on the turn. I sucked out a few times with draws. I mostly gave money away though.

I got my rakeback now. I'm about 3 buys down from before I went on my spew adventure. It's like a hazy dream.

That's it.

I was wondering if if anybody has had any similar experiences? Is it unusual? Was it a full moon?

As long as you learn from it, I don't think this is that bad. I think that you pretty much have to go through a phase where you cross the line to play like a spewmonkey in order to play a solid aggressive game. The best way to learn the difference between spew and good spots to be aggressive is to get experience doing both.
