-16buyin ds, I'm gettin' owned!

Now someone please untilt me and tell me its standard to have a -16bin allinluck downswing. I've heard someone having a -20 bin swing, some of it being bad play. I've done some bad plays myself, but most of the part where my expected value goes down is
set vs overset
AA vs KT on AJQ (3bet bot I believe)
AKo vs Q8o on Q3K 8
AKss vs A3o on 245ss
TPTK vs AA (tilt).

So this is 50NL, I just got back up to the limit, after withdrawing most of my roll last month and grinding back up from 25NL. I'm playing with 20 buyins atm so I don't have that much of a cushion to take any heat like this.

It just feels like theres no end to the bad luck. I had 2 days off from poker (yeah, thats a lot for me), so I'm really playing my A game, but it still keeps coming after me. the last hand I played for this session was KK vs JJ vs 95hh on KJ4hh, the river being a h :'(. It's really hard to keep playing because I just keep getting owned. I'm +-0 for this month though.

Yuck, always sucks when that happens. Sorry, but you'd have to be pretty lucky to play poker over a few years and not get a 15-25 BI downswing in there somewhere. That's just how poker is. I'm lucky enough to only have a 12BI downswing so far, and even then my god I ran into a solid heater right afterwards in new years eve and two days after that and made it back in like 5-6 hours of play, but I've gotten off very light. Still up 4 BI in EV it seems.

Just hang in there.

EDIT: looool noticed the number of hands wow that's sick to lose so much so quickly :S I mean that's less than an hour of play for most of us! How much do you play overall?

Hehe, don't worry, that's not a 290 hands session, its 290 total allin spots, over 28k hands. (the graph is this month total), I've played around 5k hands per day this month, excluding tuesday & wednesday when I didn't play at all). I'm averaging 6-8k hands per day normally.

- 16 BI in all-in EV over 28k hands is pretty gross. That's more than 2.5ptbb/100 that lady luck has stolen from you.

Im currently on a 12 buyin downswing over only a couple thousand hands. Just sucks to run like this because it makes you not want to play.

It happens to everyone at some time or another. The most important thing is to be honest with yourself and just play your best game. If you do that, it will turn around for you.

mmh. thanks everyone for the kind comments, really eases my mind while reading all this. currently I'm at -842$ while my EV is back at 600ish, but I actually won some hands this session, so I'm quite optimistic about tomorrow.
