Gotta love getting unstuck
I was having a terrible session today. The tables went from looking great while I was on the waiting list, to awful right after I sat down, except for one extremely soft seat who I had position on. The fish was playing extremely loose passive, making weird, illogical donkbets with nothing, calling with any draw, etc. Finally got involved with him but he backdoored a straight after l/cing w/ K5o against my questionably-played overpair. Probably misplayed another hand and tried 3 barreling on a wet board. So I wasn't playing my best and was pissed how poor the games had turned in the 5 minutes I had been waiting.
Then in 2 hands in a row I get unstuck. Ended up backdooring a flush after calling bets in a multiway pot with an OESD to the nut straight (where if I had hit I could stack someone with a lower straight). Turns out the other guy calling had flopped a straight and decided to slowplay it...whoops. Then the next hand I pick up AJs utg, see a gorgeous flop of JJ5 and before I know it some donk overshoves w/ 66 on the turn 5 drawing dead. Even ended up turning a small profit, but decided to quit while I was ahead since I wasn't playing well and the games were still bad. Ahh the emotional and financial rollercoaster of poker...
