Default Less than premium foldings versus a fish

I think I should have been able to lay this down. Although this guy was a fishy player that you will see the pot with weak holdings, I really don't think that I should have paid this off. I don't think that I had seem him weak in a ton of pots today, or maybe not any. I think I just had some notes from a previous session that he will show up with weak holdings. So maybe that is more the reason for this to be an easy laydown. Lastly, I think this line is farily common with a flush draw that hits on the turn- c/c, c/c, lead out.

the reason that I was a short stacker is that the site wouldn't let me refill because their server is a piece of ****.

I guess I convinced myself that I am good 25% of the time versus this fish.

I was on the phone when this hand happened, so that is my excuse

Hi there,

yep I think the river bet clearly shows he is ahead, or maybe bluffs missed straight draw which is almost impossible.

Your flop bet was too weak, imo 5.25 or so is better. While I'm almost sure he calls even a PSB with his flushdraw, you could get more money from him if he missed.

As far as the bet sizing, the philosophy there is that I am betting small but firing more versus a nitty table on the flop. I then often fire strong on the turn. But yea, this guy would probably call anyway, even PSB on the flop.

Raise more preflop, bet more on flop and shove the turn (you'll have a pot sized bet left anyway)

What? even if viallain is kinda fishy, I'm wouldn't be ready to get it in with TP medium kicker on flushy board.
I don't think we have to go any deeper what his range could be...
But he calls on flop. It's very likely he has a K or a flush draw. Probably a set. (limb/called pre...)

I check back turn. And call a river bet most often.

Ok , we have less than 50BB and we decide to raise preflop (which is meh but if you do it and you are OOP , make it a bit bigger) and hit top pair and you are looking for a reason to fold? Why do we play it preflop? Looking to hit a straight?
The whole hand is played badly

the turn bet is not horrible because we are valuetowning a made flush that does not contain an ace. It might also help us get to a cheap showdown if we don't hit (he might try to check raise us on the river but we would just check behind)
