Funny how two sites can be so different

Hey all ,

Funny how two sites can be so different . I play mostly on Stars and Tilt am close to be rolled to take a shot and 25nl on Stars but i Tilt i can't break out of 5nl took a big hit a while back droped me down to 2nl had to grind my way back to 5nl . funny thing i play same way on both sites just seems that my hands hold up on Stars and on Tilt they don't . Just drives me insane sometimes.

But it was the other way around for me. I always went broke on PokerStars play money. But I grinded millions on FTP play money pretty easy.

Tilt sounds like it is a simple thing to overcome but in reality it is really tough. Today at 50NL, this guy kept 3 betting me. I had had it after a few times so I 4 bet him with QJo, and it was actually pretty much a pot commiting 4 bet because I had allowed my stack to dwindle to like 85BB (hadn't refilled & didn't realize when I was doing it). Luckily he folded but basically my full stack was committed for a stinkin $6 3-bet.

Anyway, I think that 3bets are like cbets. You can't really counter a guy who cbets too much by making moves all the time against him. We end up risking too much for too little and end up in big pots with marginal hands.

Villains really are not exploiting us as much as we think they are. So SUPERAGGRO 3bets 15-20% of time. So what?

Some people cbet like 100% of the time. Do we get mad cause they're stealing our preflop calls?

Just let him have it. I heard this in a video this weekend from TubaSteve, "poker's a game of trading mistakes."

When we put a 1/3 of our stack in the middle with Q hi, that's a really big mistake.

We should be the ones 3betting, and let the other guy get flustered and 4bet QJ when we have QQ. Ship it!

thanks for the words of encouragement & making reference to an expert always helps to cure the "sickness." For a while, I have been working on that problem in my game of getting pissed at villains and 4 betting them wrecklesly. Its a mild case of tilt

And people make a big deal of high 3bet %'s. Someone can have like a 17-20% 3bet by just doing it 2 times over like 50 hands.

Stats are deceptive like that. I fell for a stat play today trying to c/r a nit with KQ on a low 6 hi board cause he had a cbet of 75. Then I looked at his stats again and realized he only cbet like 2 times all session. Doh...

Fooled again by my HUD!

I still like the equity of my play tho... it's pretty sezzzy..
