Dont expect to run 20bb/100 for a large sample. Only a very small % of people crush for that amount at any limit (even less for 6m, and even smaller amt for FR).

Anywhere from 7bbs - 14bbs / 100, is a good winrate.

Basically everyone's winrate will differ so there is no "good winrate", but just know you may run into a stretch where you run bad, and your winrate will suffer.

5ptbb winrate certainly is sustainable at NL50 and if you can do it you shouldn't have any problems at NL100 either.

20bb is very hard to sustain at any level above 25NL, especially at full-ring. I would say anything above 10bb/100 at 50NL is pretty good.

I wouldn't check your winrate often, though, because it is a stat that takes hundreds of thousands to converge and by time those hands are over, you will find that your game changed so much those hands are no longer an accurate depiction of your "true" winrate.

Yeah i probably wouldnt say "hope to ride this wave up to 100NL" just because it seems your so eager to move up when you havent even properly started playing 50NL yet! Win rate shouldnt really concern you, as long as your not LOSING, your making something, and it may only be small but its the experience that i would be looking for first and foremost!

Thanks for responses guys, real helpful. I'm at around 10bb and probably will see it drop significantly over the next 30-40 thousand hands. Though it breaks my heart, I guess I'll suck it up and keep forging on. And yes I am very eager to move up , was stuck at 25nl for 4-5 months so I feel like I'm finally making some headway towards building my roll.

Although my eagerness might get the best of me, my bankroll management is pretty tip-top now. I took a shot at 50nl with 1500 br and was planning to jump back down to 25nl after losing 10Bi. I believe I leave myself with a significant amount of room to handle some nasty downswings if I keep at least 40-50bi rolled at my current level. I currently have 50bi at 50nl (2500$) and will plan to take a shot at 100nl probably somewhere around 70bi(3500$) or so.

Any of you guys recommend better bankroll managing? I want to build my roll big enough to play poker as my primary source of income. I was wondering if you guys with experience playing full-time for a living can tell me what kind of bankroll I should have to be playing 1/2 -2/4 blind levels for a living? I read that it's good to have about 100bi for the level you play at along with 6 months of expenses(rent/food/alimony lul) saved up in case of break even stretches.

any response is greatly appreciated!

If you're playing NL200 for a living I guess something like 60+ buy-ins AND money for at least 4-6 month's expenses would be fine. Playing midstakes or higher I think you'd want to have over 100 buy-ins.

I haven't really played for a living myself tho.

PS.
Unless you can play 12 or more tables with decent winrate, I wouldn't play NL200 for a a living.

That's pretty conservative, I think you'd be just fine with 35 and 6 months of expenses saved up. For MSNL, maybe 50 or so would be a solid investment.
