well done lol

about the hand, if he makes a standard-looking cbet and a barrel do you fold easily?

It really depends on feeling, flow, and the exact cards to be honest.

With this guy, i could tell he was a stupid guy who was concerned with trying to do "cool" stuff and was just trying to own me rather than beat me playing solidly.

If he cbet and barrel on those specific cards, I really have no clue what I'd do because sizing is gonna be SO SO SO important here. I'm for sure calling flop against this guy, and on turn it depends how he has set up his sizing, and whether i thought he was stupid enough to fire again here as a bluff.

i suck at putting in volume. I am too busy with school, work, and tons of other obligations to put any serious volume into poker.

I played about 25k hands.

I played very few hours. This month I was always 12-15 tabling when I was playing to put in volume, so I was able to get in hands. Im not sure what amount of tables is most profitable for me at the moment, but it helped me get rid of a lot of rust. But 14 tabling while 4 of those tables being HU tables, is not that profitable i realized.

What is your normal mix of tables when you 14 table? You said 4 of them might be HU, and what is the rest? Are there a ton of games going on Merge now? I actually downloaded the software for Carbon to play a bit, but lost my password and they havent sent me my new one yet.

25k is solid for me... 4-tabling and table-selecting it takes quite a lot of time to achieve even this number

I usually play mostly 2/4-3/6. Occasionally fill in some 1/2 and 5/10.

I started listening to a poker friend of mine and started to reduce # of tables and stop playing hu sessions vs good regs. So I am trying to 8 table this month, but we'll see how long it lasts.

The # of tables open really also depends on time of day. Right now is 10:30 PST, which is 1:30 EST which is sort of past the optimal time. RIght now there are 8 400nl 6max, 2 600nl , 5 1k nl, and like 8 200nl. Thats not counting the fullring or headsup tables. Ive seen like 10-15 400nl tables open before, but usually thats around 9pm est.

25k is such weak volume. Poker won't be this profitable forever, so its really foolish to not put in more volume. If you can increase # of tables, and not table select so stringently, it might be better for you to get in more hands, make more money, and move up faster. Thats just my opinion though.

lol sick 3bet with the 24o. Do these people mostly just try to "mimic" the good players and not realize that when you 3-bet light it is with hands that HAVE EQUITY post flop?

Nice call though. If the river doesn't pair and is something low and off suit; do you still call? I understand the board texture doesn't change if a 5s rolls off on the river, but I think his bluffing range might change. Because it paired + flushed on the river, I expect his bluffing % to be higher and I'm not sure I could make the call on a 5s river (though that has to be incorrect of me)
