Yea that was kinda funny. On a more serious note, as a consistently losing micro stakes online player, I found a lot of useful info in this video. I played a bit tighter than in this vid, running a 8/5, but it was also at full ring instead of 6-max. Anyways, I still lost money. I don't know if this is just a coincidence, or if I made mistakes/coolers. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to trying many of Trikkur's tips when I get my new bankroll started. And I really hope that Trikkur follows through and makes a few more of these for the losing players like myself. I know they may be irritating to a winning player, but maybe these winning players will cut us losers some slack. Can't wait to see what other helpful info you have stored away Trikkur. Thanks! Adam
Ps. I think one of my problems with micro stakes is that instead of just trying to be a break even, or slightly winning, player, I push the action and try to "make money" at the micro stakes. Maybe I should just focus on making the right decisions ans see what happens +/- to my bankroll. Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm a breakeven/slightly winning player at these stakes, so I value these 20nl - 50nl videos more personally then say the 200nl ones. The starting of this video is probably the best I've ever seen in any instructional video I've yet to see. I was amazed at how accurately he pinpoints the mistakes that most of the slightly winning microstakes players make.

I love how he almost goes on tilt at his opponents mistakes. Again love the name. BW rezpeck! haha keep up the good work trik. Jaedong's been overtaken by the youngster terran Flash in latest kespa rankings though.

I'm glad you guys liked the video. I'll try to make a few more in the future.

BTW, Jaedong is going to be #1 here soon. He's going to win the MSL in a few days against ForGG and hopefully Flash wins his game against backho so we can see a Jaedong vs Flash final at the Avartec Classic on Gomtv.net - then jaedong can show he's #1. Though I do love Flash and have since way before everyone else has.

No its not a joke. Coach said I was playing way too many hands and needed to tighten up. So I did. It was Pokerstars 0.02/.05 FR 10nl ... 4 tables I believe. Ended that session at -$20 or so, despite running a ridiculous 8/5. I'm more of a 17/15 or higher usually. It was very tough to play that tight.

Really enjoyed the video, thought it was put together well and there seemed to be a lot of thought put into it A+ imo.

Question- at what point do you think a player should start to open his range from the tighter hand selection reccomendations that you provide. For instance say someone plays this way and is a small but consistant winner at say 5nl and eventually moves up to 100nl, playing the same style, and the games start to get tougher. I guess what I'm getting at is do you think there is a dividing line for a specific limit where it is essential to start opening up your range more to be profitable, where this style will start to get you run over by observant players? In other words how far can/should you take this before you need to start really opening up in order to work on post flop play to prepare yourself for some of the more tougher games.

Thanks again,
Rich

Well I think you should play super nitty until you can at least be breaking even. This will at least hopefully mean you can turn profit from rakeback. After this time, you can start to loosen up a bit and take advantage of your skills thats youve improved at. There are players that play 18/16 profitably at 100NL, 400NL, 2000NL, and higher. They just know how to properly apply pressure with 3-bets, squeezes, and post flop plays.
