Where to go from here?

Hi, i recently joined this site after watching some of the videos here. There seems to be enough experienced players here for me to ask where i should go from here.
I began playing poker seriously around 8 months ago. I started by reading books and watching poker whenever it was on. I could feel the progression. But about a month ago i ran into a player at the university i attend who i could not beat. He has been playing seriously for a few years now so there is an obviously disadvantage when it comes to experience. But basically i am wondering how i can take the game to the next level?

Play with pokerstove and EV calculations, read/post on forums, watch videos, get coaching.

It's hard to beat those, who have a ton more experience than you :P

You develop your game through experience... so just keep on playing and try to improve by thinking about the game, reviewing key hands, watching vids and reading

alright, thanks for your help, ive actually asked around a bit and its nice to hear something other than "some people just have natural talent" haha. Thanks again.

Well, you need a talent for not tiliting, playing your A-game most of the time, BR-management and probably some stuff you do at 1kNL+ ^^ But imo about everybody who rly works on his game and tries hard, could beat 100NL-200NL.
