While I think the price is a bit high, $50/hr is not horrible by any means for coaching. It's not about the level of play, but the time spent. However, if you are trying to get students, one graph of 3k hands is seriously not going to do it for you. Not trying to be a downer, just being realistic. I also think that people are looking for reasonable pricing and a history of beating the limit you are coaching. From just a quick glance at your blog, you don't have that.

This is just ridiculous. I advise anybody to not hire him even though i presume anybody with some common sense wouldn't. He posts a 3,000 hand sample at 10nl that he titles "rungoot" and expects to be qualified to coach 10nl? If he can't even beat up to 100nl(or 5nl/10nl/etc.), he has no business coaching. This is on the borderline of trying to scam people who don't have any idea of the coaching business. Look at his PTR, I know its not 100% accurate, but it does give a somewhat accurate representation of his overall play. He has lost 1,000 dollars in 17k hands and has lost about 15bb/100. I think he should learn to coach himself before trying to coach(scam) others. Go to PTR look at some of the way this guy played some hands, he is not qualified to coach. |

I don't actually support hiring coaches at all until you see them play. I started posting videos on PokerTrikz because I was coaching players at the time and thought it was only fair for potential customers to see my style, analytical skills, etc. It requires more than just a small sample size of winning to be a successful coach. You need to have practice at explaining your thoughts to others and making sure they can understand. I'm not going to be the one to judge whether or not the OP is a worthy or not coach; but potential customers need to make that decision before hiring anyone. |

Here is the email I sent to Trikkur, I think it is only appropiate for folks in this forum to see what I am encountering about dishonest posters like shoveorfold. thanks for your time Originally Posted by Nwodwols Trickkur, I put a 10nl coaching post out there and I'm recieving a reply "is this is a joke" and another saying I've "lost 1k on PTR" which is completely false and shoveorfold is being dishonest. I have not even posted my poker name I use on the diferent card sites ,I just use the option of hero in hand histories when I post. Are these posts fair ? can there be something done about this? I have been using this site for a while and while I have been blunt in replies to posts that are not definitive enough or need explanation shoveorfold and urbansprawler should not be able to reply with the comments they have. I wish to continue to recommend people to your site as I always have. Thanks for your time
