Default Players only raking more pots now :(

This might be the wrong place to post this; if so, I appologize.

Players Only, which is part of the merged network (with Cake poker), started raking the pots that are less than a dollar now, assuming that the players see a flop. This really bites for our smaller stakes players. Does anyone know if they made the same change to the other merged network sites?

I emailed them to complain about this and any of you guys that have an account should do the same. It definitely can't hurt.

edit: there is also something funky going on with mucking cards and showdown. I haven't been able to figure out the exact pattern & it seems like some sessions it wants to show me the mucked cards and some sessions it does not want to show them. Does anyone know what the exact rule is on mucking hands & withholding the information even in the hand history?

... I hate software updates.

I'm pretty sure you are referring to Cake Network (Cake, Players only, etc).

Merge are sites like Carbon and Reefer.

As for what you are talking about, I don't know, I don't play on cake anymore.

im pretty sure that the cake network is 5% once the pot reaches $1.... (ie. 5c every dollar)....

the merge network is 1c for every 20c in the pot.... therefore taking more rake at lower limits....

ie 4NL on Cake - final pot 80c - no rake
ie 4NL on Merge - final pot 80c - rake 4c

correct me if i am wrong, i also havent played on cake in quite a while....

It appears that they just started raking more, though, on Cake Network (Players Only to be specific). They are now starting to rake those less than $1 pots. I saw them rake a 0.60 pot 5c. I am not sure about the exact formula because I have been playing 50NL but this seems high. Heads up for you players that play the lower end of the microstakes!
