Here we have a little bit of a different situation as we are faced with a river decision rather than a flop or turn situation. We are 180bb effective stacks and villain is 40/15/2.3 with a 17 3bet preflop. I'm more than deep enough to setmine here. We flop our set on a flushdraw board and are faced with an ugly decision on the river. Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (6 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com Button ($100.40) SB ($102.80) BB ($180.20) UTG ($127.75) Hero (MP) ($233.65) CO ($46.50) Preflop: Hero is MP with 6 , 6![]() 1 fold, Hero bets $3.50, 3 folds, BB raises to $11, Hero calls $7.50 Flop: ($22.50) K , 3 , 6 (2 players)BB bets $12, Hero raises to $36, BB calls $24 Turn: ($94.50) 8 (2 players)BB checks, Hero bets $60, BB calls $60 River: ($214.50) 4 (2 players)BB bets $73.20 (All-In), Hero? Theres now $287 in the pot and $73.20 to call and getting 4:1 odds here. Call or fold???? I'd also like comments on bet sizes for all streets as well. Not used to playing this deep quite honestly. |

I think its played fine, but on the river its a sick spot. To be honest, i call that river expecting to lose a lot of the time. I actually think the right play here is to fold because i think these villains are rarely bluffing. Reasons i call though, is to know i got sucked out on, and if i can learn that this villain is willing to call that bet on the turn with a naked flush draw, i dont feel too bad losing this pot a majority of the time. |

as played, i get it in. he could easily have aa, ak. I wouldn't care too much about the flush. as played, YOU could easily have a flushdraw and played it aggressiv. IMO, you loose against KK or AQc, AJc. What else does he 3bet with pf, that beats us right now? call. |

He was getting 155 to 60 = 2.6 to 1 on the turn, so he needs to get like 85$ or more from you on the river to break even with a flushdraw. So even if he shows up with the flush here, you still made money. Getting so good odds on the river with a set... I just call. I don't think, that you can make the fold here, since you have to be right 3 out of 4 times to make it break even. If he played AK this or some other weird hand this way and you fold... it's sooo -EV. I think, your bet sizing is fine. You could make it a bit more on the flop and turn, but since he didn't get the odds to call anywhere and we get his whole stack, that's fine.
