Do we just c/f this or are there any merits in betting with the intention of shoving a lot of turns? I think he has to fold a lot of missed Ax, broadway type hands and I can get him off weaker pairs on the turn if the right card peels off. I'm not sure what to do if the turn is a spade

This is a perfect board to c-bet. It's so dry and while your opponent may think it might not have hit you, you did 3 bet PF and by raising on the flop, you're repping pocket pair, flush draw, T8, etc. If he reraises you, I'd be done with the hand. The problem with checking is that you give the upper hand to your opponent, and a c/c or c/f are both weak lines. The other option is to make a delayed c-bet on the turn if the card is scary (assuming he checks through on the flop).

In general it's a very ugly board to Cbet, since he can come over the top with quite a lot of hands and we can't rep many strong hands, so he might call us pretty light as well.
The problem is: It's HU and you really have to know the dynamics and a feeling for the opponent to give a good answer here.
