Default Live 1/2 Game - AK BTN vs LAGG

Guys need your input on a hand I played today.

Effective stacks a little over 100BB's

This villain is very loose and very aggro (over aggressive at times) he showed down a huge bluff at the beggining of the session and then went busto on another big bluff when he ran into AA's. He managed to pick a good few pots and build up his stack to a little over 100BB's when I doubled him up with my Top Two that I didn't want to beleive he had a set on a AK3 flop. I've been playing Taggish and avoiding marginal situations. He's been very active in the last few hands with strange open raises to 6 and 7x.

Game short handed 6 players (effective 6max)

Villain: UTG $570
Hero: BTN $230

Dealt to hero AsKs

Action UTG opens for $12, fold, fold, Hero reraises to $44, SB fold, BB fold, Villain Call $32

HU to the flop
Pot $91
FLOP 9hAcAd

Villain checks, Hero bets $69, UTG call

Pot $229
TURN 7c

Villain ALL IN, Hero ?????

Can the hero get away from this hand on the turn against this villain? What range would take this line other than 99? Would he do this with JJ-KK on a 3bet pot against us(nit)? Are we ever good here? I hate folding in this spot with such a hand but given the action can anyone find a fold here against this type of villain?

I'd snap call here. Against a LAG, I'm never folding trips with top kicker. He could be doing this with AT - AQ, air, and possibly even as you mentioned JJ - KK (if he's just that crazy). There are only three hands that beat you, A7, A9, and 99. A7 is not possible here, even for a LAG, I just don't see villain calling PF with A7. A9 is a slight possibility, but again, a call PF with A9 is still a bit rare. Now, the only legit hand as you've mentioned is 99. But that's only a small part of villain's range. Look on the bright side, on the very off chance villain does have 99, you've still got 7 outs (roughly 14% equity) to win the pot.

?? Why do you want to ever fold here? It's a bloated 3bet pot and we have Trip-A /w top kicker vs a LAG, who could show up with AQ or random hands... only hand, that beats us is 99...

and maybe A9, A7 But imo they are not a significant part in his range.
+ if hands like A9 are in his range, he has AT+ in his range too.

If he called us with 77 on the flop, he will have hands like 88+, too, adding some potential bluffs.

There is no way I am ever doing anything other than fist pump calling here. You said you think 99 is the only hand that takes this line, but villain is very lag according to you so any A is taking this line as well. There is ~$360 in the pot and you need to call ~$130. As stated above, if you happen to be against A9, A7, 99, 77 you do still have some outs.

My thought process might be biased by the outcome of the hand.

I snap called there and was expecting the pot to be shipped to me 99% of the time as there are only 3 combos of 9's possible and that is such a small portion of his range that if he has 9's its just a simple cooler.
Now when the hand gets to showdown and he flips 77 I was amazed at both the preflop call and the flop call if flatting 77 to a 3bet without getting enough set odds is bad enough calling the flop is horrible. I think the donk was just running hot, but I usually analyze every major decision (big pots won or lost) after a session and I kept getting to the same question, could I get away of this hand somehow? should I have spotted something here?

I guess most of us if not all will stack off in this situation 100% of the time and maybe I should just take it as for what it was a bad cooler but I keep trying to find something on these type of cooler hands that could get me to better read my opponents.

[QUOTE=chipsnfish;24046]... could I get away of this hand somehow? QUOTE]

don't even think about getting away! You played it fine!

I recently played 2/4 Live. kts, raise pf. 2 callers, 396 flop. I cbet - 2 callers. turn is the k. I bet 2/3 pot. 1 caller. river is a 3. he checks - I finally check behind. he shows 35o!
thought about the calls he made pf, on flop and turn! rediculous! but he got lucky and tried to trap (hate trappers!).
and I lost a good amount of the stake to that guy.

nothing else to say. It's sick how some guys play live on decent stakes.

In the long run, we'll succedd with those hands.
good luck!
