Do we want the villains to know that we 3 bet them light? Which particular villains do we want to know? I was just thinking that instead of playing this guessing game about whether the villain thinks that we are 3 betting him light, we just let him know by showing him 1 or 2 times, so that we can expect him to play back. I guess this all comes into play more on sites that do not allow a HUD. They don't see your 3 betting percentage. I guess we probably want them to know but we don't want them to have any idea what percentage of the time. |

If a player can't figure out that you are 3 betting them lightly, why would you want them to know? Do you really want them playing back at you and 4betting lightly so you have to fold?

some villains play back at you poorly. I mean if you know with higher certainty when they play back at you & they are going to do it poorly, I don't think that it is always that bad. The way that this came up is that I was in a pot where we were on the river & I was 90% sure that I had the best hand in a pot where I had 3 bet super light. I could have probably bet and got him to fold to not show my hand. I don't think it would have taken much of a bet either. |

+ A villain, who can't figure out, that you are 3betting him light is alreay "playing back" very poorly. Do you really want him to 4bet-bluff from time to time? Isn't it way better, if he only defends with like... JJ+ and AQ+?
