Default 100NL- TT flops OESD vs calling station

Villain has been playing 39/1/2 with a 44 call open and a 34 fold to cbet. What do you think about the way I played this hand overall? I decided to check back the flop as he is unlikely to fold and this board hits all kinds of hands in his range. On the turn, I decided to just flat after we hit and allow him to fire again on the river. Is there any sense in just flatting the river? My thoughts were that only a T or AT is going to call a raise from me on the river.

I'm a theory nitpicker so I don't like flat-calling the river. Even if he only pays off like 5% of the time with 2pr or a set, you should raise.

Well that depends on how often he will have AT, and compare it with the times he will call with worse. He does have AT sometimes, but if we assume he will ALWAYS fold his non-straights here, then obv shoving is bad, but if you think he can pot/call 2pair, set, then shoving is good. I like calling because I am highly suspicious of pot bets. I don't think people do it with air much but they will do it with 2pair/sets even less often, which means that the majority of his range isn't even the worse value hands that will bet/call (they could be if he bet 2/3 or smaller, assuming he's a donk) but a ten, AT, or air.

As such, I think flat is best.

I'd better raised the turn strong, he doesn't seem too foldy, good hands will likely call putting you on a bluff. Sick if he has KT, but that's all what beats you.

As played, I'm flatting the river but not sure how good is it myself

I'd bet the flop a lot, but I don't hate checking back. I'd raise the turn always. The river is tough. Did he always bet pot for value and with bluffs?

I hadn't seen him pot the turn and river yet. I had seen him pot the turn with a weakish made hand when someone checked to him and then he shut down on the river. He ended up showing 87s and shipped me a bunch of chips
