Default another NL100 shallow hand...

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (5 handed)

Hero (BB) ($40)
UTG ($41.35)
MP ($40.90)
Button ($30.70)
SB ($32)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, Q
1 fold, MP calls $1, Button calls $1, SB calls $0.50, Hero bets $5, 1 fold, Button calls $4, 1 fold

Flop: ($12) A, 7, Q (2 players)
Hero bets $6, Button calls $6

Turn: ($24) 10 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $19.70 (All-In), Hero ?

This might be my last hand from shallow games, going to play regular stacks again.

The villain is unknown fish, this is my first hand at the table. Do you think check-fold is too weak on the turn? Do you see shoving/bet-calling as an option?

If the stacks were 100bb, how would you have played?

Hm, I don't rly like your flop Cbet. I guess I would rather c/c here and c/f the turn without any reads. If
As played: I can't put him on a range, where c/c or shoving is rly good. So c/f should be fine.

With 100bb I still c/c this board quite often against unknowns.

So, basically you assume an unknown is very unlikely to fire flop/turn with less than an A, if you check-call the flop...

I thought it's too obvious I don't have an A if I check... on another thought, your advice really makes sense now, like it's harder for unknown to fire flop/turn with worse hand than to float me and shove worse

Check the flop. You're afraid of basically no turns, and you want to widen your opponent's bluffing range, and the best way to do it here is check. Check calling down is not necessarily bad, either, but betting yourself overreps your hand and is basically a protection bet when you're not really afraid of many cards coming.

I mean: An unknown opponent doesn't know your c/c range here and I think it's quite hard to 2barrel bluff that board without real information. If he fires 2 barrels, I take a mental note: "maybe quite aggro?".
And yes... betting this size just puts us into a weird situation on the turn.

If you're behind which it appears you are, you are at BEST approx 34% to improve on the river. Many of the times you improve, it will not be to the best hand. So while the pot odds are about 2.22:1 , you are often drawing slim to dead. I hate calling with the worst hand so I fold here, but the advice the other guy's have given is solid and I agree w/ them.

I wouldn't bet this board, like others have mentioned. As played, though, I'd jam turn.
