Turbo vs Regular

Do you guys prefer to play regular SnG's or Turbos? I personally prefer regulars because I think that people can use there "Skills" to out play others and get their chips, and the game doesn't just turn into a crap shoot. But would playing turbos be more profitable because of how many more you can play?

Turbos. If you know proper push fold strategy, playing more SNGs = higher profits.

Have to agree with Trikkur on this one for STT's. The volume that you can put in just outweights the "playability" of the regular ones.

Turbos are more profitable (and higher variance) because most of people's push or fold -strategy (shortstack) just sucks.

This is more interesting than I thought it would be. I hate the turbos for the most part, but I bet it's b/c my push/fold strategy sucks. Any previous threads with good discussion on it?

I don't think you could cover a push/fold strategy in any one post.

If you want to beat the turbo's you have to learn ICM. One of the best tools for learning and training yourself is SnG Wizard.

Turbo's aren't crap shoots, it's just a different skill set.

Turbos by far. I'm not a SNG player for the most part but I did play a few hundred HU sngs both regular and turbo and what I saw explains everything. Basically I was beating the regulars for almost twice the winrate of turbos and yet my $/hr was still higher at the turbo sngs. So unless your winrates differ drastically between the 2, go for turbos.

I enjoy, and have a better roi % on regulars. I also find much less volatility in these games. While the turbos allow you to play more games and gross more profit over the same period of time.

Turbo SNGs, Regular MTTs.

Sngs are easier turbo, everyone goes way TOO Laggy, like in the HU SNGs, people think they need to just get it IN with anything.. play tighter than them and you should easily have a high ITM %.

Turbo MTTs are just like playing roulette, I think they are impossible to play with any real strategy... Push fold strategy or otherwise, since as people are calling anything most the time, so your AK just gets owned by 22 too often. In a regular SNG turbo, when your AK beats 22, your usually guaranteed a cash... in a turbo MTT you have to win too many flips.
