to chinz: I strongly disagree!!! There is substantinal difference between sites -I sent twice 1 gran to stars and played nl 50 - got busted within few weeks... 7 moth ago I tried my last shot and decided to go for cake ( thanks to trikkur's vids) and now I am 2/4 reg taking shots at 3/6... only the traffic isnt that great...often have to sit at table with four regulars, but the other side of this u get to know the regs pretty quickly... and other suggestion that helped me a lot - once u hit nl100 find couching... the winrate should pay for it - at least it worked for me...

I have only been on a couple sites (FTP in my clueless days, Bodog in my middle stage of knowledge, and PokerStars).

I must say that PokerStars is the toughest site I've been on by far. I've been getting played back at it seems only at 25NL. I've even had to 4bet light on some tables just for respect.

I haven't played on Cake, but be aware that there are differences. Honestly, I say get used to them by two tabling at first. If you deposit and start losing, you're not used to the play. Use a 20/15 BI rule for your limit ($500 is 20 BI at 25NL, move down at only 15BI).

Depends.

100nl on full tilt is like 400nl on some sites.

100nl on cake looks like 25nl on Tilt now.

you can convert the hands using a hand converter (there's a link to it somewhere on this site, just do a search) and import them to HEM, but the HUD will not work. I would also suggest converting the hands after you finish your session so there are no..."misunderstandings" with cake about whether you were trying to use a hud.
