**THIS THREAD IS FOR DISCUSSION OF sandervb 2 - 2tabling 50NL with 60 bb's** I play 2 tables of 50NL on AP with 60bb stacks on each table, I try to be a bit looser than my regular game. In this video I was actually just taking a short shot at 50NL with the (very) small bankroll I have on AP(70$'s :p).I hope you enjoy,Sanderps: as always, suggestions are definitely much appreciated. You can post in the thread!thx View Video Please leave any comments or questions to the video creator below. |

Just watched most of this video... I enjoyed it, but I left a comment about all the stuff I liked on the video page. This will just be my observations that I jotted down as I watched for the most part (so don't get the wrong impression). It really sucks that the browser video player doesn't give you the time you're at in the vid because it'll make it tough to tell you exactly what hands I'm talking about, but I'll do my best. They're in chronological order anyway. ================== -Funny intro... you hate short stacking, but refuse to 1-table -- but short stacking on just 2-tables is okay? - Tbl 1 - Q8o on button is a standard open raise imo. Any hand that's better than a random hand is worth opening from the button. -Tbl 2 - You have trash (8-rag unsuited I think) and the SB limps... I'd be raising there almost always when I've just sat down. Get an aggressive dynamic going and punish people for limping OOP. - <3 The cat!!!! - Using the pot-button as a default is really just laziness and is definitely giving up EV. You end up not doing this though which I was happy to see. -Tbl 2 - Checking the river with QQ was just really really bad. You have well under a PSB in your stack and you just sucked out on most 2pr hands. Shove, shove, shove. You were lucky he had a hand as strong as KJ otherwise he's probably checking back with most TP hands. -Tbl 1 - You got a walk with KK... ZOMG INSTA-TILT!!!! I would anyway. Nice job letting it roll off your back. -Tbl 1 - You flop a flush draw with 64s and make a massive c/r (full pot?) into two short stacks. I don't really like this at all since it completely commits you. If you're going to raise that big just shove and maximize your FE. I prefer a smaller raise though. Overall, your thought process was good, just a bad bet size. Good job sucking out though! - Totally agree about people on Cereus constantly limping huge hands preflop. I don't get it, but I can't say it bothers me much. It's definitely a softer site than Cake network (which is I believe what Red Star is on), so if you get the chance I highly recommend AP. -Tbl 1 - You get ATs from BB, UTG shorty limps as does the SB. You debate raising but end up making a large raise -- you accidentally raised more than you intended, but imo that was a perfect size for a raise. -Tbl 1 - You have AKs and 3bet a button open PF. You just pot it which I don't like -- make it bigger since you're OOP. Then on the flop you bet like 3/4-pot on a pretty damn dry board. That's waaay too big, bet something like 1/2-pot+2bb or something and you'll take it down just as often. -Tbl 1 - You get AJo on the btn and a fish calls your open. He donk min-bets and you call with a gutshot to the nut straight + 1 overcard (standard), then he bets about 1/4 pot on the turn and you call again. At that point I would just fold. His range is not very strong, but it's well ahead of you -- that leaves you little in the way of implied odds and the pot odds are just not good enough to call. -Tbl 2 - You raise JTs UTG (good), but only make it 3bb (bad). Make it at least pot from UTG, but I prefer 4bb. Folding to the 3bet is standard obv. =================== That was all I have written down although I did see a few hands after the last note. Overall you played well, and the mistakes you did make were pretty small ones. I'm not sure that you succeeded in playing very loose, but maybe you're usually a mega-nit so this seemed loose to you. Really though, you just played a very solid TAG game preflop (and ran like god). Once again, enjoyed the video and hope to see more. edit: I forgot about one hand. About 5-10 minutes in you get Tx (QTo?) on table one and flop trips. You should really be c-betting into two opponents on this flop since it's likely one of them has something worth continuing with, and you should really be c-betting this kind of flop with your entire range anyway. As played you should have just open shoved the river. You were pretty lucky that villain was an idiot because he should be shipping there about never.

Effeks! thanks for the great info man Definitely glad you liked the video, As I like yours very much So the QQ hand, i played horrid the kk's that get folded too me used to tilt me immensely, but it seems to fucking occur 5x a day that they fold it to my AA's or KK's so i got used to it, no biggies Thanks again for the fine indebt analysis, this is the stuff we're making vids for regards, and good luck at zie tables! sander Last edited by sandervb; 04-05-2009 at 06:39 PM. |

I don't really understand the concept behind this video. If you have $70 on AP and want to play 2 tables, why not just fullstack 2 tables of 25NL and have a little extra to top up if you lose a few hands? 70bb is an extremely awkward stack size to play--I doubt that you have much experience playing that stack size, and I don't know that anyone around here will have enough experience with it to help you out. 1:45 table 1 - Q8o is a superstandard button open. 2:00 table 2 - villain limps into your big blind, and you have 28o--raise it up. Taffy_Jones is a reg in the games I play in. He's playing 50NL and limp/calling preflop. Weird. I wonder if he's letting his girlfriend play on the account or something. 4:45 table 1 - I open T9o in the CO. 5:00 table 2 - I prefer a shove to a c/c (or c/r as it turned out) with your QQ on the J-high board. +1 on blocking images. I put my HUD stats over them, but I have to block a lot while I'm waiting for the HUD to come up. 26:00 table 2 - I hate limping along with 89s. A half stack is plenty for you to isolate him. But once you play preflop like this, I think you have to bet the flop. Overall, you play pretty solid, but you err on the nitty side of every single decision that isn't totally obvious. I think you should take a few sessions and err on the aggressive side of all those decisions and see how it works out for you. |

i'll def. be trying that out it one of my next sessions on my other site I come to the conclusion that i should be opening a lot more on my btn/cutoff. I'll try it, Thanks guys |

open 3 bet range when IP (AKo, KQs, 89s) even when against a smallstake. squeeze. Smallstake like to raise pp and strong Ax hands. they usually limb with drawing hands, and fold to a raise. bet flop when last to act with middle pair (89s hand). the hand at the end is a snapcall for me. you beat every 8, every ten and pocket nines. it would be a strange line for a j and if he has a king, he has a king. But one is for sure: I would do the call only to see his cards! |
