Default VIDEO DISCUSSION: given1982 2 - 200NL (6max) at AP

**THIS THREAD IS FOR DISCUSSION OF given1982 2 - 200NL (6max) at AP**

I play 4-5 tables of 6max 200NL at Absolute Poker for 49 minutes. I talk too softly and say "brilliant" and "infinitely" too much, but there are some interesting spots in this video.

You play with confidence and skill... I'm jealous.

Nice video.

Spot with 88 v AT, I think the turn call is completely fine. I can see some draws he picked up on the turn playing this way or If he just thinks you pair the Ace floating him and he has two pair. The river being a diamond kinda scared me, but that could just be me. He bet so weak on the end their after you called his crais on the turn it seems he missed a lot of value. I think of these hands reminding me poker is a game of mistakes and he made a big one on this hand. You made a small mistake in the sense you paid him off, but I think you have the best hand more than enough of the time to call his bet and feel good calling there.

I moved to Cereus and Cake at the same time in March 2008. I had much better results at Cereus (and I'm a HUDbot), so I cashed everything out of Cake probably in Fall 2008. I think I was playing 50NL and 100NL at that point.

Hey Given, I play at Cereus at the moment too, but I was wondering why you don't buy in 200bb deep? Since there is at least 1 fish at every table it should be +EV to play as deep as possible with the fish. Also I found a lot of other TAGs at 100nl and 200nl, don't like making plays this deep, so if any of them are this deep, this allows me to put pressure on them in earlier streets and take pots away, since they don't want to get pot commited with 200bb behind with just TP.

It's a decision that I made when I was playing 50NL in order to move up the limits more quickly. If I have 20 $400 buyins, I think I'll have a much higher hourly playing 400NL with 100bbs than 200NL with 200bbs. Now that 400NL is my main game, I often buy in 200bbs deep when I play in 200NL games, but I think people are more interested in seeing videos of 100bb play.
