Default VIDEO DISCUSSION: no eff eks 7 - 10nl 4max on Absolute

**THIS THREAD IS FOR DISCUSSION OF no eff eks 7 - 10nl 4max on Absolute**

I play 3-5 tables (mostly 3) of $10nl 4max on Absolute Poker. These new games are really really soft (at least for uNL) and I show my usual style. After a swongy start I've been winning at a ridiculous rate on these tables and I can't recommend them enough. Video is about 45 minutes long, in WMV format, and is 100mb in size. I apologize for the commentary which I feel is sorta sub-par because I can barely keep up with the action while explaining what I'm doing.

Hi effeks,

I will watch your vid this afternoon but wanted to ask you a general AP question:
you mention that games are good at 10nl at AP. For the moment I'm playing 10nl at Stars to get some confidence back in my game and its working : over 10k hands i'm running at
7.5ptbb/100 but I'm losing alot in not getting rakeback at Stars and that feels like such a waste.

Are there enough games at AP running compared to Stars? The reason why i'm winning at Stars is table selection and ofcourse my awesome play . Enough fish at AP? How is the software at AP?

If it turns out that AP has the same features as Stars + rakeback, I know what to do.

Thx,Colossos159

Table selection at AP is not quite as good as at Stars (nowhere is) but it is still decent, it isn't like Cereus is a small network. Unless you already have an account, Full Tilt is another option for an American player who wants decent traffic and rakeback.

Before putting money on AP, you might wish to research their shady past, that puts off some players from playing there. It is up to you.

You get 30% rakeback plus a rewards program that's actually pretty good (not quite FPP's, but better than Full Tilt points). As for game selection... at 10nl it's pretty easy - just open a table and almost everyone will be terrible. The number of passive/weak opponents is just insane, so unless things have changed at Stars in the last 6 months you'll most likely see a solid increase in winrate.

If you actually want to table select you have better options than at Stars anyway. AP doesn't go after dataminers, and you can use a free AHK script called the Absolute Solution to data mine as many tables as you can open (20?). I tend to have stats on about 35-45% of players in a given stake when I'm actively datamining.

The negatives... the software is not the best. It consumes lots of resources and you don't have the option to turn off animation (you can on UB though). There are lag issues in the lobby, and with the check-boxes on the table (to auto-fold or auto-check w/e). I also think the default skin is hideous, but there are good table mods out there.

There's also the cheating scandals to consider, but personally I'll take the chance for double the winrate.

I think the video was too frantic with this many tables. I think 2 tables would work a lot better.

You really need to find a way to move up. You could make a much higher hourly, and you could play more aggressively, which is obviously your natural inclination.

Well I also made a bunch of 2-tabling videos but I felt they kinda dragged so I made this one with 3. I agree that 4-5 tables is just too many, especially with a turbo table thrown in.

As for moving up... yeah, I'm going to probably end up depositing a couple hundred in my UB account so I can get RB there. I'm already playing $25nl rather than $10nl, but so far I'm down a little over a buy-in.

Thanks for watching.
