Default VIDEO DISCUSSION: Trikkur 54 - PokerTrikz Forums Home Game 1

**THIS THREAD IS FOR DISCUSSION OF Trikkur 54 - PokerTrikz Forums Home Game 1**

This was our first "home game" we played with our forums members. We played 3 tables of 10NL mostly just for fun. There isn't any super in depth strategy in this video, but a few fun spots nonetheless. Sorry for the lower video quality and audio, I'm still adjusting to the new computer's settings.

Strange hand was when Retro check-called/check-raised turned flush. Definitely not a standard play, what were you thinking?

Trying to make him call because the play was just so weird. If I played it standard I was sure he'd toss the hand. I just wanted to make him curious and get a call. I sometimes take weird lines just to switch things up and see what kind of results they produce.

like you had a read Trikkur will go for a bluff-barrel or thin value because he's on the vid so has to play like a pro

I'd definitely checked the river with JT, putting you on a weak pair+FD that won't call the river, or naked nutFD

At the time I didn't know he was making a video, but I do know how much he loves to go for think value(since I've watch all his videos) I figured a bet he might call but most likely fold and If I checked/raised the line I took just seemed odd and might induce a call, although in the video he suspected me to have the flush as the most likely hand to beat him. So after watching the video I don't like my play since he saw though it. Results turned out well for the hand but overall I don't think I'd take that line again.

With regards to that Q 10 of hearts hand played Trikkur where I said "fuk gross" here was my thought process on the hand:

1. I had perceived Trikkur as playing relatively solid for the most part. A lot of us were going slightly crazy during some hands but I hadn't seen Trikkur do anything out of line yet.
2. When he 3 bet the button raiser, I figured he might be doing it light so I overcalled because I has AJ and I has position.
3. He cbets the flop , I call , standard so far.
4. He barrels the turn and I start trying to put him on a hand -- and in my mind, I figure he could possibly have a better A here and A 10 beats me too now. He could also be double barreling in case I am just pure floating or something.
I call again.
5. On the river, I expected him to either:
a. check all hands that were non-aces
b. put in a chunky value bet if he had AQ or AK or better which was definitely possible in my mind

but I did not expect a 2$ bet. When i generally play 10NL, if someone bet's into me on all streets after a 3 bet pre on an A high board and I have AJ, that means I usually have lost the hand and got value-towned.
I expected to see AQ + here and I thought that the 2$ bet was trying to just goad me on to paying Trikkur off extra light.

My analysis is kind of incomplete but that's what I was seeing from my perspective.
