Improving the redline

Please make a video or two about improving the redline (non showdown winnings).

I think there is a lot to learn about the subject.

The "Red line" is a subject that is misunderstood a lot. What a lot of people don't realize is that most of your non-showdown losses come from getting dealt trash and folding to a raise in SB/BB

So if you have holdem manager go ahead and add a preflop filter "VPIP=True" and then check your non-showdown winnings. If you're still in the red then there's a problem, otherwise there probably aren't any problems. Not any "major" ones at least.

Also, having an uphill red line doesn't mean you're a great player. A maniac donkey who tries to buy every pot has an uphill red line, but his blue line is free-falling thus making his green line go downhill.

I think the only times in which your redline must be going up is playing against nits or just anyone who's incapable of calling down without a big hand.

I've always been upset with my red line going down and down, and yes when I filtered out the blinds without VPIP then it went above zero.

So, I'm satisfied now, but this is for NL25/50. Don't know if there will be problems with my style if I move up to NL100/200...

I only care about my green line going up. I don't care about red line, blue line, light green (ev) line, or any other color lines.

Playing small stakes/micro stakes, you will almost never have a positive red line, since noone folds. It would be playing non optimally if you had a redline going up (6m/fr) for less than 100nl.

I'm about even on the redline, which i think is perfectly acceptable.

Can someone please go over red/blue/green or any other color line and let me know what they mean. Also, what I should be looking for when processing these lines.I have hold em manager and would like where I should be looking to find with information. Guessing under graphs?

In holdem manager , under the graphs tabs, you can select a box that shows you your nonshown winings and showdown winnings.

Nonshowdown winning = red line
Showdown winning = blue line
Blue + red = green line (overall profit)

In this sense, its probably better be color blind, cuz when most people start caring about the colors of the lines, their green line (most important one) suffers.

My blue and red line are almost the exact same. What does this mean?
